#Arrested | Male arrested after drugs and a knife are located during a stop search in a park.

Officers from Amber Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team came across a suspicious vehicle parked at Riddings Park Community Centre. The two occupants of the vehicle were detained for a stop search under Section 1 of PACE.

The passenger thought it would be a good idea to try to stash things in his trousers. A knife and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs were located.

An 18-year-old from Somercotes was arrested and remains in police custody.#
